It can be seen where the lyrics match the visuals at the point in the music video where it shows a woman in the dentists and multiple times throughout the video where a woman is being dragged out from the light and into the darkness   With the visuals and lyrics matching and being spoken in past tense where it says " I was " puts emphasis on the nostalgia being addressed.
